Holland and Barrett chain of health food stores in the UK have recently started stocking the increasingly popular alternative remedy CBD(cannabidiol) oil.

CBD (cannabidiol) is an active substance found in hemp oil, which is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant.

Cannabidiol oil has a number of potential therapeutic health benefits and anecdotally many individuals are having huge success using cannabidiol to treat anxiety, depression and other psychiatric disorders, reducing stress, promoting sleep and potentially helping to reduce seizures.

Holland and Barrett recently have started stocking Dutch brand Jacob Hooy’s CBD (cannabidiol) oil, in two different strength CBD Oil products from 2.75% to 5%.  Also available in capsules.

Personally I am a massive proponent of cannabidiol and believe it has massive potential when it comes to its various medicinal applications.

Lots of promising scientific research has now shown that Cannabidiol may have many health benefits including being able to potentially treat psychiatric disorders such as anxiety and depression.

I have found Cannabidiol to be extremely effective for reducing anxiety and I have a wealth of past experience with pharmaceutical anti-anxiety medications such as benzodiazepines, beta-blockers and anti-depressants in order to compare.

CBD seems to have a very rapid acting “nervine” effect, which makes it very good for calming the nervous system, promoting sleep and probably why it is so effective for reducing seizures.
